A brilliant presentation that goes beyond the standard
If you walk around the city, you'll see a mix of many fashion styles, but what stands out the most this year is the stylish way of using the standard technique of "layering". Recently, a new method of coordinating outfits has appeared such as layering a skirt over a one-piece dress or layering a dress over a dress.
The point here is to show a peek of a different style of dress or skirt from beneath the hem. It's a difficult method to pull off since showing too much of the bottom hem is tacky and hiding it too much makes it meaningless, but the ability to mix and match with ease is applauded.
A one-piece dress is a single fashion item, so it's easy to wear stylishly. However, it's always been said that it can only be worn in one style. The one-piece dress that has been perplexing us with its limited wearability has now transformed into an item that can be worn and expressed in a variety of ways. I look forward to seeing more unique Japanese aesthetics and the appearance of new layering techniques in the future.
