Introducing the world to Japan's ready-to-wear fashion! The highly anticipated 15th Tokyo Girls Collection took place at Saitama Super Arena on October 13th (Saturday). The fashion fest, the 15th to date, was attended by a large crowd of fashionable young women who had successfully made the latest trends their own and were eager to see what new items would appear on the runway.
We saw a smattering of other colors, including wine red, yellow, and green, but black was easily the guest of honor.
Another thing we noticed was that a lot of people wore slightly over-sized knit pieces. Once considered sloppy, the loose look has been accepted into the cute zone and is now a hot item.
For the bottom half it was a head-to-head competition between flare skirts and tight skirts.
Those who wore flare skirts tended to lean towards feminine looks, while those who chose tight skirts leaned towards sharper looks.
What caught my eye in particular was the leather flare skirt in the second snapshot from the left in the second row as it has just the right amount of drama.
It's also part of a sizzling trend that, from all appearances, seems like it'll be around for a good while longer.
Here's our usual collection of visitor snapshots! （＾ｖ＾）
