In February of this year, the long-anticipated Ikejiri location of the second hand clothing store LEMONTEA opened. This is a completely different kind of new shop with the theme of new challenges in contrast to the Harajuku shops which are often featured in magazines and elsewhere. This shop has a selection of items targeted for adults which have a playful side among the standard items.
The completely daring exterior does not have any special mediums which stand out and you may even not think that this is a store at first glance. They place importance on the genuine meaning of a shop to come all the way out to in an area where there are no other shops. You can sense the strong fixation on not following trends and doing what they want to do not only in the location, but also in the items.
The interior has the image of a house in a foreign country. The interior decorations such as paintings are all also for sale. The 2nd floor is not actually finished but it will be renovated in the future into an event space. The 1st floor has an atmosphere which is a bit different from the norm and seems like a fun playground.
