Last week I mentioned "quick, easy, and stylish" as this year's keywords for men's footwear, and just recently I came across an item that fits that description to a T. Enter "men's pumps"! Pumps are a fashion norm for women, and may soon be the same for men.
Known back in the day as "opera pumps", they were usually worn with a tuxedo for a night out at the opera or theater. The shoes were traditionally made out of enamel, and adorned with a ribbon. Modern men's pumps add a twist to the classic look, and are made with a variety of materials. The ribbon is also optional, and absent from some designs. With a wide opening and flat soles, they are easy to wear and provide a fresh look. It also looks great regardless of whether you're going for a sophisticated look, or are just looking for something comfortable to slip on. I really do hope it becomes a fashion norm.
