In recent years "reader models" have gained attention as new leaders of street fashion. They are occasionally featured on our site as well, and have become a reference point for many.
We've asked ourselves, "Why are they so popular with other readers?"
On closer inspection we've noticed that many of the reader models have some kind of connection to the fashion industry--whether as hair salon staff, clothes shop staff, etc. People listed as students are, more often than not, studying beauty or fashion design.
From this we can see that "reader models" are individuals with a passion for fashion, who've also incorporated it into the daily routine of their lives. Work is still work for them, but by spending more time immersed in fashion than others, they've acquire a keen sense of style. In conclusion, their appeal comes from their experience, combined with their love for beauty.
