From Wednesday, February 15 – Friday, February 17, “rooms34”, developed by multiple businesses and centering on a joint exhibition, with a focus on fashion and design, was presented at Yoyogi National Stadium.
The “rooms” joint exhibit, which was formed in the year 2000 and held twice a year, is one of the leading exhibitions in the world, with over 500 brands displayed and 20,000 visitors.
With a focus on the concept of launching every season, the venue design, exhibition planning, and the advertisement’s visual image, are always new. There is an emphasis on fashion, product, interior, art, ethical, and local industries, and it is divided and organized into multiple areas, depending on individual concepts.
It functions as a place of transmission for the gathering creators, who have original views of the world, and generates encounters with buyers, journalists or businesses.
The merchandise items that are displayed are only idea items that nobody could imagine, and packed with the creator’s love.
Newly this time, “rooms MARKET” was being displayed in a large tent outside of Yoyogi National Park. The concept for the MARKET is “dynamic sense, chaos, miscellany, and mania,” and the general public was able to get admission and shop.
Presently, because of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics being held, it was the final round of rooms held in Yoyogi National Park. As a result, this season’s concept was “FINAL.” Starting next time, “rooms” will start with a new style at a different venue. Next time’s “rooms35” will be held on Wednesday, September 6 – Friday, September 8, with the concept “Shedding."
