Personal Information Privacy Policy

The Japan Fashion Foundation (hereafter JFA) recognizes that in our business activities we have a duty to protect personal information. We will strive to follow that based on the following personal information protection policy.

1. Concerning the gathering of personal information.

The JFA gathers personal information through lawful and fair means.

2. Usage of personal information.

  1. (1) The JFA only gathers personal information to the extent
      that it is required for the operation of our business.
  2. (2) The JFA takes reasonable precautions and maintains proper
      supervision over the handling of personal information
      by a third party or through joint use.

3. Concerning the offering of personal information to a third party.

Unless otherwise stipulated by law the JFA will not disclose personal information to third parties without consent of the subject.

4. Concerning the management of personal information.

  1. (1) The JFA will securely manage the accuracy of personal information.
  2. (2) In order to prevent the loss, destruction, alteration or leakage of personal information,
      the JFA will take proper measures to prevent unauthorized access, computer viruses and others.
  3. (3) The JFA will not leak or transmit personal information to external credit organizations.

5. 個人情報の開示・訂正・利用停止・消去について

An individual has the right to seek disclosure of our treatment of their personal information or termination and elimination of said information. If you have such requests we will respond in good faith.

6. Organization/Control

  1. (1) The JFA has an appointed personal information manager and appropriate management
      of personal information is being conducted.
  2. (2) The JFA conducts training for full time officers and employees on how to conduct daily
      management and proper handling and disposal of personal information.

7. Privacy compliance program: enactment, decisions, maintenance and improvements.

For the enactment of this policy, the personal information privacy compliance program (the policy itself, privacy rules and other rules) was developed and all employees and other officials continue to join it thoroughly and openly, constantly seeking to improve it.
