Yusuke now works in a vintage clothing store in Harajyuku to pursue his career in the fashion business, which is an industry of his dream since the age of 18 ever since he got fascinated by the appeal of vintage clothing. He may seem like he is totally immersed in the world of fashion, but as hard as it is to believe, he is an ex-architect. When he was in junior high school, he found his dream to become an architect after he was drawn to the works and life of Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi, who is well known for the work of La Sagrada Família. At the age of 20, he admirably achieved his dream. However, the reality was laborious days of excessive hard work. As a result of nonstop work, he started to have a health problem such as having bloody urine and left the job after two years.
"After that, I recharged my battery by traveling and thought about my future. I wanted to do something fun in my life. That is why I decided to pursue my dream in the fashion industry" says Yusuke.

He used to be negligence in his clothes like wearing clothes like shorts and a sweat suit all the time. Then one day, he found interest in fashion when he started reading fashion magazines like "Boon" and "smart" during high school. He started to buy vintage clothing and enjoyed wearing a variety of clothes like Street-kei (surf-and-skate style) and unique "TUNE"-kei style.
In such circumstance, Iga Daisuke, a successful stylist of fashion magazines etc., gave him a great impact. "He coordinated tight-fitting pants and a tailored jacket when everyone was wearing baggy clothes like street-kei fashion. It was so fresh to me and I went to a vintage clothing store looking for a jacket." says Yusuke.
He was also influenced by Iga’s comments and got into movies and started listening to Western music, such as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
It is very interesting that he tried mushroom cut to copy the Beatles’ hairstyle and got his hair permed like Bob Dylan.

The appeal of vintage clothing for Yusuke is "You can enjoy the one and only fashion because you cannot find same vintage clothing anywhere else in the world", says Yusuke. His favorite style is a mixture of vintage and new clothes and "N.HOOLYWOOD" is one of the brands he checks regularly. Since the age of 18, black-framed glasses are a must for his style to add a touch of intriguingly off-center. For him, he is all about the job in a vintage clothing store. He says chatting with customers is exciting than anything else. His goal is to be in charge of buying in the vintage clothing store he works now, and to eventually become a buyer. He continues to work there as he lifts his sprits by wrapping himself in his favorite clothes.
